Yersultan RIMKUL awarded the INSA Openlabs Seminar Poster prize

During the "INSA Openlabs Seminar", the prize for best poster communication was awarded to Yersultan RYMKUL, master student at CETHIL in the research theme "Micro and nanoscale heat transfer" (MiNT). The conference took place on June 27, 2024 at INSA Lyon.

The work presented by Yersultan RYMKUL under the title "Simulations of the influence of domain walls on the thermal conductivity in ferroelectric and ferroelastic materials" concerns the study of how domain walls impact the thermal properties of these materials. During the presentation, Yersultan demonstrated that domain walls significantly affect the thermal conductivity, showing that the presence of these walls can decrease heat transfer, depending on their configuration and dynamics. This understanding can lead to better design and optimization of materials for thermal management applications.
