June 2012: 2nd Biot-Fourier Prize of the " Société Française de Thermique" (SFT) for Romuald Rullière

The Biot-Fourier Prize is awarded to the three best scientific papers at the annual conference of the "Société Française de Thermique", based on the reports of the reviewers and the quality of the poster presentations. At the annual congress held in Bordeaux from May 29th to June 1st, 2012, Romuald Rullière , Senior Lecturer at CETHIL, received the 2nd prize for his communication entitled "Dynamique de croissance d'une bulle lors de l'ébullition de l'eau à basse pression". These are experimental results obtained on a new test bench realized at CETHIL in 2011 which makes it possible to study the boiling in a vessel of water on the surface of a heated copper wall at low pressure levels (about 10 mbar).
