Industrial projects
CETHIL research may also have a more applied character. Direct contracts between companies and CETHIL can lead to the development of innovative services or objects.
In some cases, FUI programs may be the right tool. The Single Interdepartmental Fund (or FUI) is a program to support applied research to help develop new products and services that can be marketed in the short or medium term. It finances collaborative R&D projects (large companies, SMEs, laboratories) of competitiveness clusters .
CETHIL also has a long and rich experience of partnerships with companies via CIFRE public-private partnership theses, which take place partly in the Center and partly at the industrial collaborator site. Aerospace companies (e.g. SAFRAN, AIRBUS), electronics (e.g. THALES, ST MICROELECTRONICS), groups active in energy issues (e.g. ATLANTIC, CARRIER) or SMEs have notably benefited from such collaborations with CETHIL.
