The project VF++ led by CETHIL will be funded by the Priority Resarch Program devoted to "Sustainable City and Innovative Buildings" (VDBI)
The Priority Research Program and Equipment (PEPR) "Sustainable City and Innovative Buildings" (VDBI) is an initiative led by CNRS and University Gustave Eiffel. Its objective is to build a community capable of addressing the challenges associated with the implementation of sustainable cities and innovative buildings scientifically and technically.
The VF++ project, coordinated by Lucie Merlier, Assistant Professor at University Claude-Bernard Lyon 1, is one of the eight winning projects of the 2024 call for proposals. VF++ focuses on the design and implementation of adaptation strategies to urban overheating, combining green, gray, and soft solutions, to improve the health of city dwellers, in accordance with the WHO definition of health. The project brings together researchers in engineering, humanities and social sciences, and health sciences, as well as local authorities, national technical centers, associations, social housing providers, design offices, and hospitals.
